Alumni 2011 Centre for Genomics

The place For all of Us, from all of Us.

"My education at Centre for Genomics was truly a wonderful experience. My professors showed a sincere interest in my education as a student and as a person. They not only wanted to help develop me for my career, but also as a person and contributing member of society.
The education I received from Jiwaji University still helps me in my career to this day, it doesn't matter if it is Conservation Genetics, writing proposals, or just getting along with the other members of the staff. They provided individual attention that has helped me become the successful man and student I am today."

Feel free to visit

After a successful Alumni meet in 2008, we group of Centre for Genomics moving towards making a mark in 2011. This alumni is a dream from a lot of the pathfinders and the watchers.

University alumni are people who have Post - graduated or received a degree from a particular college or high school. When people receive their diplomas from a high school, they remain alumni of that school for life. The same holds true for college students, and people may be alumnus or alumna of several colleges if they’ve studied and postgraduated from more than one.

It should be noted that alumni is typically the plural of alumnus, which is usually defined as a male graduate of a particular institution. Alumna is the singular female form, and alumnae is the correct phrasing for female graduates. The masculine form and the masculine plural, alumnus and alumni, are now used with great frequency to refer to all students, regardless of gender, and always when speaking of a group of students that contain both genders.

Its a matter of proud to be there in Alumni meets, because there is always a bond either bond of affection towards our seniors, professor and batch mate..... There is always a bell ringing inside our heart to be there and behave the same back days... leave everything back and just celebrate..

Alumni brings a lot of other responsibilities too if we are honest and sincere ............

People got used to communicate. Communication is one of the main reasons for the existence of healthy and prosperous society. Nevertheless, modern world is too busy and people are unable to pay much attention to communication for pleasure (we do not count communication for business purposes). The existence of different associations and other organizations is a great opportunity for many people to collaborate with people with the same interests and goals in life. There are a lot of different associations which deal with student life. An alumni association is a kind of students' associations which are formed by graduates or former students, if to consider the problem broader. Alumni associations are mostly spread in the United States of America and in the United Kingdom. It should be mentioned that alumni from schools, colleges, Universities and other organizations may create an alumni association. Different associations of this kind pursue different goals. Here is some specific information about the purposes, different associations use as the main idea of their existence.

Some goals different alumni associations may pursue

  1. Alumni may function as a social organization and provide students with different kinds of help, like accommodation search, insurance policy registration and others.

  2. The members of alumni organizations may aim to organize different types of parties, social events and others.

  3. Publishing different newspapers or magazines with educational direction is a good help for the educational establishment an alumni organization works for.

  4. Above all it is about interpersonal relationship, which is the base of society.

Comedy Movies

Many comedians have made their mark in the field of entertainment with their sharp wit and spontaneous responses. Their sense of humor and dialogues are still remembered as people use them in their everyday life to cheer up themselves or others. Cheech and Chong is one such pair that has won the hearts of many with their hippy, pot-influenced comedy. Gifted comedians who began their career almost forty years ago have a huge fan following as people still enjoy their irreverent counter-culture comedy routines. Richard “Cheech” Marin and Tommy Chong careers peaked in the 1970s and 1980s, as their routines, heavily influenced by the lifestyles of junkies and drug-culture hit the mark with many people. The iconic comedy duo has produced eight hit films along with nine stellar comedy albums. Cheech and Chong were nominated at the Grammy Awards several times and their films broke several box office records.

Cheech and Chong’s albums shattered sales records and in 1973 this dynamic pair won its first Grammy Award for the Best Comedy Album for “Los Cochinos”. “Big Bambu” was their second album, released in 1972 and its massive sales created an all-time record in the comedy genre. All this success made Cheech and Chong the most in-demand comedians and got them a place in various low-budget commercials. Both had great fans in the stoner-community as most of them were able to relate to their songs and dialogues. Their comedy routines and songs were mostly based on the theme of free love, lonesome teenagers and hippies.

After ruling the comedy circuit for a while, Cheech and Chong stepped into the film industry in 1978. "Up In Smoke" was the first movie that they did and it included pieces from their original work. Modifying the material for film audiences, the comedy duo again touched success as it became the 12th highest-grossing film of that year. Cheech and Chong have several hit films under their name such as “It Came from Hollywood”, “Still Smokin`”, “After Hours” and “Born in East L.A”.

Even though “Born in East L.A” won the best Production Design and Best Screenplay Award at Havana Film Festival in 1987, it didn’t prove lucky for duo’s personal relationship as soon after the film Cheech and Chong separated. Citing creative differences the comedy icons began their solo careers. Even separately both earned acknowledgments for their work. Cheech became part of several successful projects and played supporting roles in many films including lending his voice to the all time hit animated movies “The Lion King” and “Oliver and Company”. Chong also established himself as a popular face on television and became part of the hit comedy series, “That 70’s Show”.

After working together on several projects for television, Cheech and Chong decided to get back together. Being separated for so many years, they began their comeback journey and their reemergence once again stirred the comedy world. This time the hippy-inspired, drugs-driven comedians found new fans along with their existing ones. The effortless comedy, improvisation and natural flair is what that has made them so popular with the fans. Cheech and Chong have never failed to prove that they are genuinely talented and their splendid chemistry still sets the stage on fire. The new routine that the pair has developed still revolves around the drugs theme, yet focuses on the simpler things in life. The skits are funnier than ever, improvisation is at its best and the two are giving one amazing performance after the other.

Life After Death

Death is true, we all know....... Have you think of some one in you room while you are sleeping... What if he is there and you cant even screem to call for help..

People stays here as energy form.. they are there... preferably in dark.

Afterlife or life after death refers to the continuing existence of the soul and spirit after your physical death. Deceased people are believed to go to a specific region of existence in the next life depending on their religion. They believe they go to Heaven, Hell, Limbo, Purgatory, Sheol, or some other state, place or even condition.

There are some that believe that afterlife is absolutely impossible and that when you die you just disappear and stop existing in any form.

There are two different types of views on the afterlife; one has claimed to be scientific and the other religious views. No matter if your religion is Christianity, Buddhism, Hinduism, Islam, or many pagans believe that the status of afterlife is a reward or punishment for their conduct during life.

With the scientific view of afterlife they say the only reason anyone believes in afterlife is because of the fear or desire to not become nonexistent after we die. That this is only comfort for the loved ones left behind to know that there is life after death. The scientific view only sees the material human body and the material universe around it. They say that “God” and the whole life after death is confined to the brain. The scientists are materialists and shout there is not afterlife and death is the end.

Christianity believes in Jesus and the Bible and that there is
afterlife in heaven or hell. There is a living God that we put our faith and belief in and accept as our personal Savior and spend our eternity, life after death the God in heaven. Then on the other hand if we choose not to accept Jesus as our personal Savior we choose to live our life to please satan and his demons and then our afterlife will be spend in hell.
The Islamic belief in the afterlife is stated in the Quar’an.
They believe that souls will not get to Paradise, which is referred to as jannat or get to Hell, which is called jahannam. These have different levels and the Islams do not get to there until after the Judgment Day. There comfort in the grave depends on their belief in the god, Allah, and hereafter plus their deeds during this life. There are 7 levels for Jannat and 5 levels for Hell.
The
afterlife belief of the Hindus, Rosicrucians, Spiritists and Wicca is reincarnation, which is the transmigrating of human beings into animals, vegetables or even minerals. They believe in Karma or the consequences of actions taken in previous lives.
Buddhism believes that afterlife is just the process of rebirth into a continuation of the previous life. They believe in karma in the instance that if they died in a peaceful state of mind then they will ripen into a rebirth as a human or god; but if they die in a negative state of mind then they will ripen in rebirth as an animal, ghost or demon.
Even though the human body will decay, there is a long standing belief that death is survivable or there is afterlife. All the major religions are all in agreement in the teaching that humans are immortal and their spirit comes from a divine world and may eventually return there.
This is the great promise and hope which the religions offer to their followers. So where will you go? Is there a Life after Death

The Era for Rock

1968-1978

First bands like Blue Cheer demonstrated the distorted sound, then Iggy Pop and the Stooges brought proto-punk into the equation, then progressive rock bands like King Crimson and Jethro Tull expanded on the idea, and finally, Black Sabbath released the first heavy metal album in 1970,Black Sabbath. Following this, bands merged the Led Zeppelin style of Celtic folk-influenced hard rock with the Gothic horror movie soundtrack-influenced Black Sabbath, and created the first genre rock hybrid which immediately began to typecast itself and drove the creation of underground metal with Motor head.

1979-1987

Heavy metal became popular in the 1970s and got absorbed by the hedonistic, individualistic, pleasure-seeking culture of the time. This produced a type of stadium heavy metalish rock that sold well but lost sight of the artistic ambitions of the genre. At the same time, bands like Motorhead and the Sex Pistols were popularizing the punk sound that had intensified since innovators like MC5, Iggy Pop and Link Wray began experimenting with it in the 1960s. In response, the more alert heavy metal bands added more gothic and neoclassical elements to distinguish themselves from the fray. The fusion of these two threads, hardcore punk and neoclassical heavy metal, produced an explosion of genres, but only two, speed metal and thrash, matured directly.

1988-1992

During the last years of Ronald Reagan's reign, when conservativism reasserted itself against the anomic search for meaning of a generation born into ideals it did not feel the nation upheld, the political conflict between these two forces heated up. Death metal, originally developed for the artistic vision that when death and horror are more real than individual moralization, people rediscover life, flourished, but also found itself under onslaught from gazillions of imitators. With the rise of Suffocation, a speed metal-influenced death metal band, the clones finally had reason to exist and so death metal exited in chorus of "me toos" as black metal rose from its ashes with a new sound and a less-tolerant ideology, just as the Soviet Union collapsed and the United States turned more liberal.

1993-1996

Death metal became a field of Suffocation clones, and bands increasingly turned toward either going "technical" to distinguish themselves, or assimilating themselves into mainstream styles like rock (Asphyx - God Cries), jazz (Pestilence - Spheres), funk (Mordred - In this Life) and punk (Pyrexia - Hatredangeranddisgust). At the same time, black metal rolled onto the verge of what would be the most popular style of metal to come from the underground, mainly because its primitive riffs and nocturnal melodies were part lullabye and part nightmare, apppropriate for an audience that was both aware of the decay of civilization but too disorganized to do anything about it. As soon as its popularity grew, especially with the release of that template for black metal from The Abyss, The Other Side, black metal too became inundated in imitators, although some late forming bands and middle era albums by classic bands helped flesh out its style and bring it to maturation.

1997-2008

Since 1997, very little of vitality has occurred in metal. Black metal bands continue the style, either by attempting to expand traditionalism or "new" combinations made of black metal plus any number of already extant genres (some of the former are bad, all of the latter are stupid). Death metal continues with some absorption by metalcore and emo, which has created a queasily hybrid style that few fans of the older material want to hear, and many newer fans find too mixed for their tastes. What has radically expanded are the continuation of speed metal and neoclassical heavy metal, power metal, and the skipped generation descendant of thrash, metalcore, which reverses the thrash pattern by putting hardcore riffs into metal-style songs. The sub-genres are converging again by becoming more similar, which may enable newer acts to get more distance from convention and find a style in which writing makes sense.

WHAT IS MUSIC........

Heavy metal music, born fighting, rose out of popular music in opposition to both the dominant culture and the rock counter culture heritage was equal parts the heavy guitar rock that replaced the blues, progressive rock and the neoclassical sounds of horror movie music. Its name, composed of "heavy" meaning epic and having emotional weight outside the individual, and metal, meaning the gritty mechanical truth of reality, signified its sound and message: a wake up call to hippies and bourgeois listeners alike that reality is not the simplified, individualistic, pleasure-seeking consumerist illusion.
